- Kapitel 4 -

(Isaiah 2:1–4)

But in the last dayes it shall come to passe, that the mountaine of the House of the Lord shall be prepared in the toppe of the mountaines, and it shall bee exalted aboue the hilles, and people shall flowe vnto it.

Yea, many nations shall come and say, Come, and let vs goe vp to the Mountaine of the Lord, and to the House of the God of Iaakob, and hee will teache vs his wayes, and we wil walke in his pathes: for the Lawe shall goe forth of Zion, and the worde of the Lord from Ierusalem.

And he shall iudge among many people, and rebuke mightie nations a farre off, and they shall breake their swordes into mattockes, and their speares into sithes: nation shall not lift vp a sword against nation, neither shall they learne to fight any more.

But they shall sit euery man vnder his vine, and vnder his figge tree, and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hostes hath spoken it.

For all people will walke euery one in the name of his God, and we will walke in the Name of the Lord our God, for euer and euer.

The Restoration of Zion

(Zechariah 8:1–23)

At the same day, saith the Lord, will I gather her that halteth, and I will gather her that is cast out, and her that I haue afflicted.

And I will make her that halted, a remnant, and her that was cast farre off, a mightie nation: and the Lord shall reigne ouer them in Mount Zion, from hence forth euen for euer.

And thou, O towre of the flock, the strong holde of the daughter Zion, vnto thee shall it come, euen the first dominion, and kingdome shall come to the daughter Ierusalem.

Nowe why doest thou crie out with lamentation? is there no King in thee? is thy counseller perished? for sorowe hath taken thee, as a woman in trauaile.

Sorow and mourne, O daughter Zion, like a woman in trauaile: for nowe shalt thou goe foorth of the citie, and dwel in the field, and shalt goe into Babel, but there shalt thou be deliuered: there the Lord shall redeeme thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Nowe also many nations are gathered against thee, saying, Zion shalbe condemned and our eye shall looke vpon Zion.

But they knowe not the thoughtes of the Lord: they vnderstand not his counsell, for he shall gather them as the sheaues in the barne.

Arise, and thresh, O daughter Zion: for I will make thine horne yron, and I will make thine hooues brasse, and thou shalt breake in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their riches vnto the Lord, and their substance vnto the ruler of the whole worlde.

Die Herrschaft des HERRN in Zion

(Jesaja 2,1-4)

Und es wird geschehen, in der letzten Zeit wird der Berg des Hauses des Herrn auf dem Gipfel der Berge stehen und erhaben sein über die Hügel und die Völker werden zu ihm strömen.

Und viele Völker werden zu ihm eilen und sprechen: „Kommet, lasset uns hinaufziehen zum Berge des Herrn und zu dem Hause des Gottes Jakobs, dass er seine Wege uns lehre und wir wandeln auf seinen Pfaden;“ denn von Sion wird das Gesetz ausgehen und das Wort des Herrn von Jerusalem.

Und er wird unter vielen Völkern Gerichte halten und die starken Völker bis in weite Ferne strafen, da werden sie ihre Schwerter zu Pflugscharen umschmieden und ihre Spieße zu Hippen, kein Volk wird mehr wider das andere das Schwert ergreifen und nicht mehr werden sie Krieg führen lernen.

Dann wird ein jeder unter seinem Weinstock und unter seinem Feigenbaum ungestört sitzen, denn der Mund des Herrn der Heerscharen hat gesprochen.

Ja, alle Völker werden, ein jedes im Namen seines Gottes wandeln; wir aber werden im Namen des Herrn, unseres Gottes, wandeln ewig du immerdar.

Der zukünftige Triumph Zions

(Sacharja 8,1-23)

An jenem Tage, spricht der Herr, werde ich die Hinkenden sammeln und die, welche ich verstoßen, und die, welche ich gezüchtigt hatte, vereinigen.

Und ich werde die Hinkenden zum Überreste machen und die, welche bedrängt waren, zum starken Volke; und der Herr wird über sie herrschen auf dem Berge Sion von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.

Du aber, dunkler Herdenturm der Tochter Sion! An dich wird gelangen, ja, an dich wird gelangen die frühere Herrschaft, das Königtum der Tochter Jerusalem.

Warum nun verzehrst du dich im Grame? Hast denn du keinen König oder ist dein Ratgeber umgekommen, dass dich Schmerz ergreift wie eine Gebärende?

Ja, leide Schmerz und winde dich, Tochter Sion, wie eine Gebärende, denn jetzt wirst du aus der Stadt ausziehen und auf dem Felde wohnen müssen und bis nach Babylon gebracht werden. Dort wirst du Rettung finden, dort wird dich der Herr aus der Hand deiner Feinde erlösen.

Nun zwar haben sich wider dich viele Völker gesammelt, die da sprechen: Es werde gesteinigt und unser Auge weide sich an Sion!

Sie aber kennen des Herrn Gedanken nicht und fassen seinen Ratschluss nicht, dass er sie zusammenhäufe wie Heu auf der Tenne.

Auf und drisch, Tochter Sion! Denn ich will dein Horn eisern machen und deine Hufe ehern, dass du viele Völker zermalmest und dem Herrn ihren Raub weihest und ihre Macht dem Gebieter der ganzen Erde.
